The journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City by 5-star train lasts 8 days and 7 nights, with a luxurious space like a mobile hotel.
The first international guests have just had the opportunity to experience the 5-star tourist train. The group of 30 guests departed from Saigon station, starting the journey across Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. The interior space is equipped with high-class facilities. Designed in the classic Indochinese style, the luxury train Sjourney consists of 13 cars, including 10 sleeping cars (each room has 2 guests) and 2 restaurant cars. However, a representative of PYS Travel - the operator, said that only 5 sleeping cars and 2 new restaurant cars have been put into operation. Tourists can choose between double or twin rooms depending on their needs. Each car has its own butler. The tour price in December is 7,320 USD/person (186 million VND). From January 2025, the price will be 8,610 USD/person (220 million VND). This is the price for tourists to experience the luxury train tour as a package, without selling individual tickets and not separating into short trips. Currently, the number of pre-booked guests is full until 2025. Two guests in the first group of 30 international visitors to experience the train. “Our cabin was great, we slept very well on the train. We could also watch the chef prepare the dishes and experience Vietnamese cuisine right on the train. I was really excited for this trip because I really love Vietnamese food and everything about Vietnam,” shared an American tourist. Each room has private bathroom. Bathroom, toilet with high-class amenities like a hotel. The bistro includes a restaurant, a bar and a lounge. The restaurant serves both local and international cuisine. This luxury train has two trips. Train SE61 departs every Wednesday evening in Hanoi and arrives at Ho Chi Minh City station the following Wednesday morning. Train SE62 will continue connecting from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi the same evening. Each trip can accommodate up to 60 tourists and will take them to famous tourist destinations in Vietnam such as Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet. During the 8 days traveling along the S-shaped land, tourists will have the opportunity to admire the impressive scenery on both sides of the road, from vast green fields to majestic mountains. In the prominent tourist cities, tourists will have about a day to visit. At the VIP lounge, passengers will enjoy traditional cakes and fruits while watching traditional art performances and receiving souvenirs such as Southern scarves. The operator said the train will serve about 2,000 passengers a year, targeting the high-income tourist segment.
