The training course for senior specialists and equivalent for civil servants and public employees working at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened on April 24, 2025 with the participation of 47 students, including 24 female students and 23 male students.
During the course, students were introduced to 27 topics, including 13 general knowledge topics, 14 skills topics and 6 reporting topics. The knowledge training class also had a field trip to the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Hoa Lac, Hanoi).
The students of the course took 2 final exams and 1 graduation project as required. At the end of the course, 2 students were ranked excellent and 45 students were ranked fair.
At the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, highly appreciated the learning efforts of the students participating in the course.
Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan said that throughout the course, students were updated and studied knowledge about administration, state, professional skills and management experience to improve their public management capacity.
In the era of national development, there is a need for a high-quality human resource team, in which managers at all levels are considered elite human resources that need special attention policies and appropriate training methods.
“The graduates of today’s training course, as managers, need to constantly strive to develop their capacity, courage, and knowledge acquired throughout the course. That knowledge, along with the practical experience of the students, will turn potential into dynamism, turn challenges into opportunities, and contribute to the continuous development of organizations, agencies, units, and localities, contributing to the overall development of the country,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam said that the training course not only helps standardize staff but also helps civil servants of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be updated and equipped with more knowledge about theory, strategic thinking, leadership and management skills suitable to new requirements.
According to Deputy Minister Phan Tam, the context of digital transformation, deep integration, strong innovation and the need to modernize the national administration have placed new requirements on the team of civil servants, especially senior experts, who play a core role in policy advice, implementation and improving the quality of administration.
“Through the course summary report, I am pleased that the students have promoted their sense of responsibility, seriously studied, researched, and exchanged theories related to the practical aspects of the industry and their fields of work. Many projects and reports have demonstrated innovative thinking, closely following the major issues that the culture, sports and tourism sector is facing in the process of sustainable development, integration and modernization,” said Deputy Minister Phan Tam.
The course is based on the 2025 training plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on organizing training courses for civil servants at senior specialist level and equivalent at the School of Cultural, Sports and Tourism Management in 2025 for civil servants and public employees of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
