Promoting the improvement of the quality of thematic activities in Party committees and Party cells is considered by the Provincial Party Committee as an important task and factor to promote the leadership role and fighting strength of the Party organization, improve the quality of Party members, and firmly protect the Party's ideological foundation. Realizing this, in recent times, Party committees and Party cells have paid attention to selecting new issues that are suitable to the task to organize thematic activities with practical results.
In May 2024, the Provincial Inspectorate Party Committee organized a thematic meeting with the content "Revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period". At the meeting, cadres and party members in the Party Committee were informed about the content of the meeting, analyzed the revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period. The cadres and party members in the unit studied and enthusiastically participated in discussions related to the practice and responsibilities of party members and inspectors, raising awareness of the revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period.
Through the thematic session, cadres and party members in the Provincial Inspectorate Party Committee will have a clearer and more accurate understanding of the ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period. From there, a plan will be developed to cultivate, train, and improve the sense of responsibility and attitude of inspectors, demonstrated through specific behaviors in public service activities and in compliance with legal regulations in performing public duties.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Hue, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief Inspector of the province, said: Identifying thematic activities as one of the important, very necessary and practical contents for cadres and party members in general and the cadres and civil servants of the Inspectorate in particular, the Provincial Inspectorate Party Committee directed the Party cells to strengthen the organization of thematic activities, selecting new issues related to Party building work. Thereby, contributing significantly to protecting the Party's ideological foundation; creating a strong and clear change in improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; building clean and strong grassroots party organizations and agencies and units in the entire Provincial Inspectorate Party Committee in the new period.
The thematic activity "Party Cell 35" with the content "Identifying and responding promptly and effectively to non-traditional security challenges" organized by the Party Committee of Ha Long City Party Committee in early October also received great attention from a large number of cadres and party members in the agency.
During the meeting, the cadres and party members enthusiastically discussed the importance and urgency of identifying non-traditional security challenges and threats that impact and affect the stability and sustainable development of the locality as well as proposing many proactive, flexible and effective solutions to respond to non-traditional security challenges. In particular, they all agreed that the first solution is to promote the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members of the entire agency in proactively preventing and responding to non-traditional security challenges; continue to research and update new knowledge, identify potential factors of non-traditional security risks to promptly advise superiors in implementing political tasks in the area.
Comrade Phan Thi Hai Huong, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ha Long City Party Committee, affirmed: The thematic activity has practical and effective significance. Through the thematic activity "Party Cell 35", it helps cadres and party members in the entire Party Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee identify and propose flexible and effective response solutions to this challenge, contributing to enhancing proactiveness and effectiveness in responding to ensure human security and national security; maintaining political security and social order and safety, striving to make Ha Long a smart city by 2040, developing sustainably and adapting to climate change, in line with the green growth requirements of the province.
In recent times, Party committees and Party organizations in the entire provincial Party Committee have always paid attention to improving the quality of activities of Party committees and Party cells, especially thematic activities focusing on contents such as: Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; solutions to improve the level of political theory, professional expertise, and working capacity of cadres and Party members; implementing directives, resolutions, and regulations of the Party and laws of the State directly related to the leadership and direction of Party cells; solutions to prevent, overcome, and correct signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" in Party cells; the work of fighting and preventing corruption, waste, and negativity... Thematic activities are carried out seriously and scientifically from the selection of content to the organization, with a high rate of Party members participating.
In particular, in 2024, implementing the province's policy on piloting thematic activities to protect the Party's ideological foundation, combat and refute bad, toxic information, wrong and hostile viewpoints (referred to as thematic activities of Party Cell 35), a number of Party committees and Party cells in the entire provincial Party Committee have organized a pilot thematic activity of "Party Cell 35", initially bringing about effectiveness.
According to the assessment of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, through the thematic activities, cadres and party members in the province have recognized and evaluated the leadership and direction of Party cells and Party committees for the activities of agencies and units; thereby creating unity in the perception and action of Party committees, Party organizations at all levels, cadres and party members in performing assigned tasks. In addition, the thematic activities also provide knowledge and skills for cadres and party members to identify, respond, train their political courage and sensitivity; improve "resistance" and "immunity" against the plots, tricks and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces in the new situation.
Thematic activities have been given attention and improved in quality, creating clear changes, especially firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, firmly consolidating trust, solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus in society, and the trust of cadres, Party members and people in the Party.
