Bac Giang: Approval of Dong Son bridge construction project

(BGDT) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Decision No. 1076/QD-UBND approving the project to build Dong Son bridge in Yen The district, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, the project investor is the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of Bac Giang Province. The project has a total investment of 75 billion VND from the provincial budget, implemented from 2023 to 2025 in Lang Giang and Yen The districts, Bac Giang province.

The length of the route is about 0.92km (of which the length of the route in Yen The district is about 0.68km, the length of the route in Lang Giang district is 0.24km); the starting point is at the central intersection of Dong Son commune; the end point connects with the road from Dong Son bridge to DT.292, in Nghia Hoa commune, Lang Giang district.

The roadbed width is 12m, the roadside width is 5m (of which the reinforced roadside on each side is 2m wide). The maximum design speed for vehicles passing through the bridge is 60km/h. The project investment content includes the following items: Roadbed, road surface; longitudinal drainage system, cross drainage system, lighting system; Dong Son bridge and traffic safety on the route.

The project aims to contribute to the completion of the transport infrastructure network of Yen The and Lang Giang districts, enhancing inter-district spatial connectivity through the road network in the area. Thereby creating a premise to promote local socio -economic development, solving the risk of traffic insecurity due to the old bridge being degraded; enhancing cultural exchange activities, ensuring security for the area.
