Denying information that a 6-year-old child in Dak Lak was kidnapped

The police have investigated and determined that the information posted on social media about a 6-year-old child in Dak Lak being kidnapped is false.

On the morning of August 6, a leader of Tam Giang Commune Police, Dak Lak Province, said that he had verified the incident where social media posted information about a 6-year-old child in the area being kidnapped and determined that the information was not true.

Earlier, on the same morning, on the social network Facebook, there was a post "Urgent need to share to find the kidnapped son of NTK (6 years old) in Dak Lak". According to the post, on the afternoon of August 5, the son of the account owner named NTK (6 years old) was kidnapped by 2 strange men while playing in front of the house. The incident took place in Cu Klong commune, Krong Nang district, Dak Lak province (now Tam Giang commune, Dak Lak province).

Attached to the information is a portrait photo of a baby boy and a photo of a masked man holding a baby.

After being posted, the above information attracted the attention of the online community, causing public confusion.

The leader of Tam Giang Commune Police also said that they are verifying and handling the person who posted false information causing public confusion.
