Eze is wanted by Arsenal. |
Crystal Palace have said they will not accept any offers below £67.5m, including add-ons, according to the Guardian. Arsenal officials have held initial talks with Palace about signing Eze, who has two years remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park.
Palace have agreed to let Arsenal pay in installments to buy Eze. The Gunners will have to pay £35 million this summer, the rest will be paid in installments.
In addition to the £60m release clause, Arsenal must pay Palace a further £7.5m in add-ons. This clause expires on August 16. Palace also include a clause that will allow Arsenal to retain 15% of the transfer fee if they sell Eze to a third club.
In 2020, Arsenal signed Eze from QPR for £19.5 million. After 166 appearances, the midfielder scored 39 goals. His impressive performances have earned him a place in the England national team in recent times.
Arsenal have spent over £200m on six players this transfer window and are looking to offload some players they no longer want to sign to raise funds to complete the Eze deal.
Leandro Trossard is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, while Reiss Nelson is being chased by Fulham. Other players such as Albert Sambi Lokonga, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fábio Vieira could also leave for the right price.
