According to Sky Sports , Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli are willing to pay Antony double the salary he is receiving at Manchester United (£200,000/week). Last season, the Brazilian player had to take a significant pay cut while playing on loan at Real Betis.
Despite his impressive form in La Liga, Antony is unlikely to continue playing for Betis next season, as the Spanish club do not have the financial capacity to meet Manchester United's asking price.
According to The Athletic , Manchester United prioritize selling Antony outright to recoup part of their initial investment, but only Betis and Bayer Leverkusen have expressed interest in loaning the player or buying him at a low price.
The entry of two Saudi Arabian clubs is expected by the "Red Devils" to create a boost at the negotiating table. Antony was bought by Manchester United for 86 million pounds from Ajax in 2022. The "Red Devils" are valuing the Brazilian player at around 50 million pounds, beyond the ability of Betis and Bayer Leverkusen to pay.
Antony himself prefers to stay in Europe rather than move to the Middle East, but if no other clubs on the continent join the race, the Brazilian striker will have to think again.
