'Alan Wake 2' to Appear on Gamescom 2023 Opening Night

According to Gaming Bolt , the Gamescom gaming event is starting in less than two weeks, with Opening Night Live set to take place on August 22. This year's conference will see many big names in the industry come to fans for hands-on experience. And one of the most anticipated games of 2023 will also be making an appearance.

Accordingly, producer and host Geoff Keighley recently confirmed on Twitter (X) that Alan Wake 2 will be shown at this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Game director Kyle Rowley also hinted that the new game would focus on one of the two central protagonists, Alan Wake , after previous installments focused on new character Saga Anderson.

Gamescom week will bring a number of game reveals and updates, with Ghostrunner 2 set to get a big reveal the day before opening night and Microsoft set to bring over 30 games to its booth. Meanwhile, NetEase and Bandai Namco have also recently revealed details about what they’ll be bringing to the event.

Alan Wake 2 will launch on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
