80th National Day: Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on the morning of September 1, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on the morning of September 1, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Attending the funeral were Politburo members: General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Permanent member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.

Also attending the ceremony were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former Presidents Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang; former National Assembly Chairmen Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Vice Presidents, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations.

With infinite gratitude, the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed their respect and remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He sacrificed his whole life for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building an independent and unified Vietnam. The wreath of the delegation bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".

80 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He affirmed that “Vietnam has the right to freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence.”

The entire Party, the entire army, and the entire Vietnamese people are determined to persevere on the path President Ho Chi Minh chose, and to creatively apply his ideology to bring the revolutionary cause he left behind to new heights, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

After a proud and honorable 80-year journey, the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd is an opportunity for the whole country to look back on the glorious historical journey, affirming the great achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. This is also an opportunity for today's generations to reflect, inherit and continue to promote the spirit of bravery and creativity to bring the country into an era of prosperous and civilized development.

Next, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument (Bac Son Street, Hanoi).

The delegation bowed in memory of the heroic martyrs - the nation's outstanding sons who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. The delegation's wreath bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

Also on the morning of September 1, the delegation of the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city... visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and laid a wreath in memory of the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument.
