4 districts reach new rural finish line

(Chinhphu.vn) - On June 13, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed the Prime Minister's Decisions recognizing 4 districts reaching the new rural finish line.

Specifically, in Decision No. 1144/QD-TTg and Decision No. 1146/QD-TTg, respectively, the Prime Minister recognized Cam My district ( Dong Nai province) and Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen province) to meet advanced new rural standards in 2024.

In Decision No. 1143/QD-TTg and Decision No. 1147/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognized Hong Ngu district ( Dong Thap province) and Phu Luong district (Thai Nguyen province) as meeting new rural standards in 2024.

The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committees of Dong Nai, Thai Nguyen and Dong Thap provinces to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committees of 4 districts to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* Up to now, 100% of communes in Cam My district (Dong Nai province) have met the new rural standards for the period 2021-2025, with 12/12 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards. The district also has 4 model new rural communes, 17 model residential areas and Long Giao town meeting civilized urban standards. Cam My district's economy has developed strongly, reflected in the average income per capita reaching 83 million VND per year and the average income from cultivation and aquaculture reaching 190 million VND/ha.

Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen province) has 25/25 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 16 communes meet advanced new rural standards, 2 communes meet model new rural standards; 100% of towns meet civilized urban standards. The district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting new rural standards in 2023. In 2024, the average income per capita in rural areas of the district will reach 54.32 million VND/person/year.

Hong Ngu district (Dong Thap province) has 9/9 communes meeting new rural standards, of which Thuong Phuoc 1 commune meets advanced new rural standards, the remaining communes continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria in new rural construction and Long Thuan commune basically completes the criteria for advanced new rural communes. Hong Ngu meets 7/9 criteria for new rural districts.

After 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, up to now, Phu Luong district (Thai Nguyen province) has 12/12 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 3 communes meet advanced new rural standards and 2 communes meet model new rural standards. On average, each commune meets 19 new rural criteria. Average income per capita in 2024 will reach 55.65 million VND/person; the rate of poor and near-poor households will decrease to 4.46%. The infrastructure and social system has been planned, upgraded, and newly built, basically ensuring synchronization, modernity, and regional and inter-regional connectivity. Up to now, 100% of communes have asphalted or concreted roads to the commune center; 94.8% of villages and hamlets have concreted alleys; the internal traffic system has been basically hardened, ensuring convenient production and travel...
