Using NOVIECO to treat straw after harvest, the rice field of Mr. Nguyen Ba Chung's family, Thanh Son village, Trung Chinh commune, is planted on time.
On an area of 15.6 hectares of newly planted winter-spring rice, Mr. Nguyen Ba Chung in Thanh Son village, Trung Chinh commune said: "Thanks to using NOVIECO sprayed at the time of flooding, all the straw on the family's newly harvested rice area quickly decomposed, helping the planting of this winter-spring rice crop to be smooth, ensuring the correct crop schedule as prescribed by the commune."
It is known that this is the second crop that Mr. Chung has used NOVIECO to spray on the entire area of straw in his family. Previously, this product was distributed free of charge by the District Farmers' Association to people in the commune to use after the spring rice harvest in 2024, preparing to sow the winter-spring rice crop. His family received 100 packages, enough to use on the family's rice land.
According to Mr. Chung, using the preparation to spray directly when the land is fallowed and left for a period of 5 to 10 days, the straw will decompose by itself, making it easier to prepare the land for planting. Not only that, using the preparation also increases soil fertility, helping the rice plants grow well without using too much fertilizer. Thanks to that, the spring rice crop just harvested, the yield reached over 8 tons/ha, bringing the family hundreds of millions of dong in profit.
"Because of the effectiveness of using NOVIECO, even though there is no longer a free support policy for the 2025 winter-spring rice crop, I still spent my own money to find and buy the product to treat straw. As a result, after harvesting the spring rice crop for nearly a month, my family has completed the winter-spring rice planting. Currently, the rice plants have taken root and are growing very well, promising a bumper winter-spring rice crop," said Mr. Chung.
Previously, all the straw on 10 hectares of rice fields of Mr. Le Cong Ca's family in Phu Thanh village was treated by burning. In the last spring crop, he was selected by the Farmers' Association to demonstrate the treatment of straw with NOVIECO products, and received support of 70 packages of products.
Mr. Ca shared: “At first, I was skeptical because I had long been used to burning straw after harvesting rice. Because this method is simple, fast, and cleans the fields. However, burning straw causes a lot of smoke and dust, making the land barren and infertile, leading to reduced productivity. Therefore, to improve the soil with organic fertilizer, I decided to treat straw according to the instructions of the Farmers' Association by using biological products that make straw decompose by itself. This method helps increase soil fertility, making rice plants grow well without using too much fertilizer. In fact, I harvested over 8 tons of rice from 10 hectares of land this spring-summer crop, 8 quintals higher than the previous spring-summer crop."
In addition to Mr. Chung and Mr. Ca's families, Trung Chinh commune has 168 households participating in the demonstration model of using NOVIECO biological products to treat straw, with an area of 150 hectares, mainly concentrated in villages such as Thanh Son, Tong Son, Phu Thanh...
Talking about the effectiveness of treating straw with NOVIECO biological products, Chairman of Trung Chinh Commune People's Committee Le Dinh Hung said: First of all, using NOVIECO products produced by Nong Viet Ecological Joint Stock Company, located in Gia Lam ( Hanoi ), in addition to meeting the requirements of quick crop change, immediately sowing the winter-spring rice crop after harvesting, treating straw with products also solves the problem of environmental pollution caused by burning straw after harvest. In particular, when using NOVIECO products, it helps to quickly decompose straw roots right in the field and convert them into humus, providing nutrients for rice plants, reducing the amount of chemical fertilizers, safe, environmentally friendly...
With that meaning, to create a good habit of using post-harvest straw treatment products instead of burning as before, Mr. Hung said that, in addition to continuing to promote propaganda to help raise awareness and responsibility of local people not to treat straw by burning, avoid environmental pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he hopes that departments and branches will continue to pay attention to supporting people with more biological products to create a habit of use. Once the habit is formed, combined with the effectiveness of using the product, he is confident that in the near future, in Trung Chinh commune, there will no longer be a situation of indiscriminate burning of straw after rice harvest.
