On the evening of September 6, U23 Vietnam won 1-0 against U23 Singapore in the second match of Group C of the 2026 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers. Le Van Thuan was the only header to score 3 valuable points for coach Kim Sang Sik's team.

Previously, U23 Yemen also had a 1-0 victory over Bangladesh thanks to a goal in the 90+3 minute.

The above results help U23 Vietnam continue to lead Group C. Although having the same 6 points, Dinh Bac and his teammates are better than Yemen in terms of goal difference (+3 compared to +2).

Singapore and Bangladesh were officially eliminated after failing to score any points.
