Watch world music legends perform for free in Dalat

On the afternoon of December 20, world music legends Boney M, Joy Band and Samantha Fox arrived in Da Lat City to prepare for the “Dalat Spring Concert” on December 21, at the outdoor stage – Lam Vien Square.

This is the beginning of a series of international-class concerts held annually in Da Lat, worthy of the title of creative city in the field of music recognized by UNESCO.

Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy, Samantha Fox are world music legends of the 1970s and 1980s. This is the first time these artists have come to Da Lat to participate in the "Dalat Spring Concert" during the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival.

According to the organizers, the program is divided into 3 parts, corresponding to the performances of Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy and Samantha Fox. In particular, Boney M and Liz Mitchell will bring classic Christmas songs in the chilly weather of Dalat before Christmas.

At a press conference in the evening of the same day, singer Samantha Fox said: “I am very happy to be invited to perform in Vietnam for the first time. Da Lat is a place I have always wanted to go to. I am very excited about the 'Dalat Spring Concert' and hope to return many more times in the future to sing for you.”

“Dalat Spring Concert” takes place at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City and is free of charge. This is the first annual international music project in Da Lat following international standards, dedicated to the UNESCO Creative City of Music.

The organizers hope that the “Dalat Spring Concert” event will spread the image of Dalat as a creative city in the field of music recognized by UNESCO and aim to build Dalat as a world-class music destination; concretizing Dalat’s commitment when joining the network of creative cities in the field of music of UNESCO.
