Binh Thuan Authorities temporarily detained a container truck with a Binh Dinh license plate that was reversing 20 meters on the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway after a night of searching.

At noon on May 29, Binh Thuan Province Traffic Police discovered a container truck violating traffic laws parked in a parking lot in Ham Thuan Nam District.

The 29-year-old male driver (in Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh) and the container truck were detained pending the handling by the Traffic Police Department. For driving in reverse on the highway, the driver will be fined 16-18 million VND and have his driver's license revoked for 5-7 months.

Yesterday afternoon, extracting camera footage, the Traffic Police Department discovered a container truck with a Binh Dinh license plate running backwards about 20 meters on the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway, near the intersection to Highway 55, Song Phan commune, Ham Tan district, while many other cars were running on the highway.

The vehicles had to slow down and change lanes to avoid an accident. The container truck then turned right onto Highway 55 connecting to Highway 1.

That same evening, the Traffic Police Department requested the police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau , Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces to search for the violating cars.
