Right from the beginning of the school year, schools have implemented many key solutions, from building a happy school environment to innovating teaching and learning methods, aiming to comprehensively develop students' abilities and qualities.
Building happy schools
Chu Van An A High School (Chon Thanh Ward) with more than 1,000 students has determined to take the Happy School Project as a guideline for all educational activities. This is a clear strategic direction and creates high consensus among the entire team, in line with the local policy. With spacious facilities, meeting national standards level 1 and educational quality assessment level 2, the school has full conditions to organize high-quality educational activities.
Specifically, Chu Van An A High School has chosen core values corresponding to the 3 pillars of the happy school framework proposed by UNESCO, including: environment (place) with the values of safety - respect - love; people (people) with the qualities of honesty - discipline - responsibility; process (process) with the motto of dedicated - professional - creative work. The first steps in this journey have been taken since the 2023-2024 school year and achieved encouraging results, showing the suitability and feasibility of the project.
In addition, Chu Van An A High School also focuses on organizing activities of clubs, teams, groups; cultural, artistic, and sports activities; implementing school safety work, preventing school violence, preventing drowning, preventing fires and explosions... for students.
In the work of homeroom teachers, the school advocates using the first 15 minutes of class to organize activities aimed at uniting the group, equipping skills, and creating excitement at the beginning of the class.
The Board of Directors of Chu Van An A High School identified a number of priority issues to improve the quality of teaching and learning right from the beginning of the school year: Focusing on innovating teaching methods and student assessment towards promoting the capacity, positivity, proactiveness and creativity of each student; applying information technology and digital transformation appropriately and effectively; early access and effective exploitation of artificial intelligence (AI) in work.
“Teachers must boldly innovate teaching methods in the direction of organizing learning activities for students, focusing on learning activities instead of teaching activities; making learning really happen for students. Along with that, strengthen testing and evaluation work according to the orientation of developing students' abilities and qualities; recognize progress and differences in intelligence types for each student” - said Mr. Nguyen Van Nghiem, Principal of Chu Van An A High School.
Overcoming difficulties, improving teaching and learning quality
Located in the border commune of Tan Tien, this school year, Tan Thanh Secondary School has 705 students, organized into 19 classes. The school is still facing many difficulties. Accordingly, the school lacks teaching equipment according to the 2018 General Education Program and is having to utilize teaching equipment from the 2006 General Education Program, which is damaged and lacking in many places. The school's current computer room is old, the number of computers that are still operating stably is not much, not meeting the practice needs of students. In addition, the school also lacks teachers in a number of subjects such as: Math, Literature, English, Civic Education, Music.

On the eve of the new school year, Tan Thanh Secondary School was delighted to receive a computer room consisting of 20 computers, tables, chairs and accompanying equipment from Lac Hong University and Lac Hong Bilingual Secondary School. The sponsor also sent staff to assemble the computers and hand over the completed computer classroom to the school.
Principal of Tan Thanh Secondary School Nguyen Van Hao said: “Being supported with a computer room with 20 computers will help students learn theory combined with practice. They can operate on computers and have the opportunity to participate in many online competitions organized by various levels; helping the school to be more convenient in arranging theory and practice lessons in the subject of Information Technology, without overlapping schedules or having to wait when the school only has one computer room for 19 classes”.
The principal of Tan Thanh Secondary School also said: The school will organize and implement synchronous educational activities to ensure comprehensive education, in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies on human resource development for ethnic minority and mountainous areas. "We are committed to completing and exceeding the educational quality targets assigned by superiors, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of developing education in border areas" - Mr. Hao affirmed.
Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School (Dak Lua Commune) is also one of the schools in remote areas of Dong Nai Province. Mr. Dang Van Thuy, Principal of the school, happily shared: In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has achieved level 1 standards and level 2 accreditation. This is one of the favorable conditions for the school to continue to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the coming time. However, Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School also faces many difficulties. The school currently has 1 main campus and 3 satellite campuses with 23 classes and about 550 students, of which more than 120 students are ethnic minorities. Many students of the school live with their grandparents because their parents work far away. Therefore, the care and support for students from the family is somewhat limited.
“Happiness in education is not just a temporary feeling of joy or satisfaction, but a state of sustainable development where each individual feels safe, respected, loved and able to reach their full potential.
of myself".Mr. Nguyen Van Nghiem , Principal of Chu Van An A High School
To enhance communication and connection with parents, Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School has used eNetViet software. This is an application that allows parents to monitor their children's learning results, schedules, and attendance; communicate directly with teachers; and receive notifications from the school. In addition, teachers can share images of classroom activities, communicate with colleagues, and receive management information. Thanks to this, even though many parents live far away from their children, they can still grasp their children's learning situation so that they can take timely care of them.
In the 2025-2026 school year, this remote school aims to have teachers apply AI in lesson planning and teaching. “We strive for 70% of students to be rewarded, and 99% of students to move up to the next grade. Teachers will set their own targets to strive for, along with building a development plan suitable to the school and local situation,” said Mr. Dang Van Thuy.
With specific orientations, schools in Dong Nai province are ready for a new school year full of challenges but also promising many successes. With determination, innovation and creativity, each school is contributing to creating a happy, quality educational environment, where students are comprehensively developed as the goal of the 2018 General Education Program.
