With more than 1,200 students, Ha Tinh College of Technology is currently one of the vocational training institutions with the largest number of students in the province, most of whom are male.
Therefore, the school pays great attention to propaganda and raising awareness among students about the harmful effects of stimulants and addictive substances in general and cigarettes in particular.

Mr. Le Van Manh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Ha Tinh College of Technology said: "The "No Smoking" signs are posted in the corridors of lecture halls, stairs and other visible locations; the school canteen is not allowed to sell cigarettes or electronic cigarettes. Along with that, the Youth Union also regularly integrates propaganda about the harmful effects of cigarettes into extracurricular activities to raise awareness among young people."

Nguyen Van Duc - a second-year student at Ha Tinh College of Technology shared: "Some of my friends had the habit of smoking when they first entered the school, but with the reminders and propaganda of teachers and union officials, they smoked less and gradually gave up that habit. I personally feel that the learning space is much more airy and comfortable."
The propaganda and prevention of tobacco harms has also been carried out by Ha Tinh Medical College for many years in many forms such as: integration into popularization and legal education programs; knowledge contests; propaganda through vivid visual images...

Mr. Ba Chi Thanh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Ha Tinh Medical College said: "Medical students are those who will become medical staff in the future, so saying no to cigarettes must be taken seriously. We set the criteria to build a smoke-free learning and practice environment associated with training the style and image of a medical practitioner for students to follow."

Propaganda work is integrated into extracurricular activities for students.
It can be seen that building a smoke-free school environment is not just a slogan but has become a voluntary movement among students. When each young person raises awareness, reminds each other, and organizes groups and associations in many ways, a healthy lifestyle will be increasingly strengthened.
This is also an important provision for young people to enter life with a greater sense of responsibility towards the community, spreading the message: "Say no to cigarettes - protect health, protect the future".
