On the morning of June 8, the Hoc Mon District Party Committee held a mid-term conference to implement the Resolution of the 12th District Party Congress, the Resolution of the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress and key tasks and solutions until the end of the term. Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee attended.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts and results that the Party Committee, government and people of Hoc Mon district achieved in the past half term.
He commented that during the leadership and direction process, the Hoc Mon District Party Committee recognized its potential advantages; took advantage of opportunities, persistently pursued to remove difficulties and obstacles to develop the locality and achieved many positive results.

Specifically, many socio -economic targets and tasks have been achieved and exceeded the set targets. Up to now, Hoc Mon district has 12/23 targets achieved and exceeded the set targets, economic growth rate, budget revenue also exceeded and there were many efforts; socio-cultural targets were ensured...
Comrade Nguyen Van Nen assessed that the results achieved by Hoc Mon district in the past half term have contributed to helping the city overcome difficult times, and together with the city and the whole country achieve important assigned targets.
At the same time, Hoc Mon district also has many other meaningful tasks, which is to mobilize the combined strength and resources inside and outside the district to join hands in developing the locality. The most specific is to mobilize people to agree to hand over the land for the implementation of the Ring Road 3 project passing through Hoc Mon district.

In addition, the work of Party building and rectification, administrative procedure reform, digital transformation, e-government construction, etc. in Hoc Mon also has many bright spots. Hoc Mon district has promoted collective solidarity well; assigned responsibilities to each comrade in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee; strengthened Party building; and inspection and supervision work.
In addition to the achievements, Hoc Mon district still has limitations, difficulties and problems. In particular, the disbursement of public investment capital is delayed; the settlement of administrative records for people is still slow; the quality of new rural construction in some places is not as expected; the management of general order, urban aesthetics, and population management is still limited; improving the leadership capacity of Party committees, Party organizations and the quality of Party cell activities in residential areas is still limited... Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen requested that Hoc Mon district continue to pay attention to improving the quality and effectiveness of implementing these tasks.
Basically agreeing with the 5 groups of key tasks and solutions of the district in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Van Nen requested the Party Executive Committee of Hoc Mon district to continue to research and discuss in depth some contents. Including external impacts as well as internal backlogs, to have a more thorough view and better solutions.

In addition, Hoc Mon district needs to thoroughly grasp the spirit of Resolution 31 of the Politburo, as well as prepare in advance the pilot contents of the resolution replacing Resolution 54 of the National Assembly, which is expected to be passed in the near future. He emphasized that the city is currently implementing these tasks very vigorously.
He requested Hoc Mon district to continue to pursue and resolve outstanding issues; pursue and coordinate with departments and branches to resolve related tasks. At the same time, promote infrastructure development; strengthen leadership and direction in construction management and urban beautification; preserve and promote historical and cultural values...
Along with that, take care to build a streamlined, effective and efficient political system, closely connected with the people; focus on implementing Conclusion 14 of the Politburo, enhance the responsibility of leaders, cadres, civil servants and public employees; strictly handle cases of evading and shirking responsibility...
"The most important thing is that each comrade in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the District Party Committee must be exemplary and take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the staff under their management," Comrade Nguyen Van Nen emphasized.

After attending the conference, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and leaders of Hoc Mon district offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the Nga Ba Giong National Historical Site.
Here, comrade Nguyen Van Nen and the delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs of Hoc Mon - Ba Diem homeland who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war; at the same time expressed deep gratitude and remembrance of the great contributions of the soldiers who fell for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
The delegation also inspected the Hoc Mon District Eco-tourism Park, which was built from the district's budget savings with a total investment of about 70 billion VND.
According to Nguyen Anh Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hoc Mon District Party Committee, after half of the term, the Hoc Mon District Party Committee has effectively led the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; Party building, political system building; improving the quality and efficiency of Party committees, Party organizations and the quality of cadres and Party members...
In particular, the economic growth rate has been maintained quite well (average 16.46%/year, exceeding the target set by the Resolution), the socio-economic situation in the district has tended to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic. The structure of industries has clearly shifted, the agricultural restructuring program continues to be promoted, and the economic structure is developing in the right direction.
Leaders exploit revenue sources well and ensure the collection of revenues according to regulations; arrange capital sources, ensure balanced investment capital, urge units to speed up the progress of projects, especially key and urgent projects.
Directing the work of site clearance for investment projects, directing the effective implementation of propaganda and mobilization work to mobilize people to agree to hand over the site, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles in the process of compensation.
Focusing investment resources on developing the socio-economic infrastructure of Hoc Mon district; strengthening leadership and rectifying state management of land, construction and urban beautification; the number of violations of construction order has decreased year by year.
