According to the announcement from AFC, the draw ceremony for the AFC Champions League Two (Asian Cup C2) 2024/2025 season will take place at 2:00 p.m. today in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
There are a total of 32 clubs participating in this tournament, divided by AFC into 2 regions West Asia and East Asia (each region has 16 teams). In the East Asia region, the representative of V-League, the defending champion Nam Dinh, will compete.
Among the 16 clubs in East Asia, Nam Dinh FC is in the second seed group along with Port FC (Thailand), Sydney FC (Australia) and Selangor (Malaysia). Group 1 will include Sanfrecce Hiroshima (Japan), Jeonbuk (Korea), Zhejiang (China) and Bangkok United (Thailand).
Group 3 includes Lee Man (Hong Kong, China), Kaya (Philippines), Lions City (Singapore) and Muangthong United (Thailand). The final group includes Eastern (Hong Kong, China), Dynamic Herb Cebu (Philippines), Tampines Rovers (Singapore) and Persib Bandung (Indonesia).
The group stage will start in September, the teams will compete in a round-robin format and then select the top two teams to advance to the next round. According to the assessment, Nam Dinh has a chance to pass the group stage.
