The 2025 enrollment season is entering the "sprint" stage with the deadline at 5:00 p.m. today (July 28), the last chance for candidates to register, adjust, and add university admission wishes, an unlimited number of times on the Ministry of Education and Training 's General Enrollment Support System.
One of the information candidates need to pay attention to is the minimum admission score. This is the minimum "threshold" to apply to a major or a school. The notable point this year is the phenomenon of top schools "shockingly" reducing the admission score, the highest being up to 7 points.
However, looking at the list of announced schools, there are still many majors with extremely high minimum scores, showing their "hotness" and competitiveness.
According to preliminary statistics, the highest floor score is currently 25 points and this "throne" belongs to two universities.
In particular, the Diplomatic Academy "fixed" the floor score for block C00 (combined literature, history, geography) at 25 points. The remaining groups have a fairly high floor score, at 22 points. This shows the attraction of majors in the field of foreign affairs and international affairs.
Saigon University also has two majors, history pedagogy and geography pedagogy, which also accept applications with scores of 25 or higher, an increase of 6 points compared to last year.
Next, mathematics education takes 24.5 points. A series of majors take from 24 points such as: physics education, chemistry education, literature education, English education.

Besides the majors with the highest floor scores, many other schools and majors also require a high entrance score.
Foreign Trade University is always one of the most sought-after schools. The minimum score for the majors here with block A00 (math, physics, chemistry) is 24 points, other combinations are reduced to 23.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, with the method of considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025, in the pedagogical group, accepts applications from 19 to 24 points, similar to last year.
In particular, the floor level for the majors of chemistry, history, and geography increased by 1 point, from 23 to 24 points. The remaining majors have a floor level of 18 to 22 points. At the Gia Lai and Long An branches, the school has a floor level of 17 to 23 points.
At Hanoi Medical University, "hot" majors such as medicine and dentistry have a minimum score of 22.5 points.
Candidates should note that the floor score is not the standard score to pass university entrance exam.
The floor score is the minimum score you need to achieve to be able to apply to that major/school.
The benchmark score (admission score) may be higher than the floor score and will only be announced by schools after the admission and virtual filtering process is completed, expected to end at 5:00 p.m. on August 20.
