VN-Index increased for the 4th consecutive session, approaching the 1,600 point mark

On August 7, the Vietnamese stock market continued to maintain its upward momentum. Buying money completely overwhelmed selling pressure. VN-Index set a new historical peak thanks to the strong breakthrough of the banking and steel groups. At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 8.1 points to 1,581.81 points.

Market liquidity increased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,892 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than 47,915 billion dong

Foreign investors turned to net sell on all 3 floors more than 71.9 billion VND, focusing on codesFPT (367.84 billion VND), GEX (157.9 billion VND), VCB (126.89 billion VND), VIX (112.11 billion VND), VHM (102.34 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net purchases in this session included VPB (442.78 billion VND), HPG (386.13 billion VND), TPB (129.08 billion VND), STB (107.87 billion VND), CII (82.67 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 41,414 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by more than 11.71 points included: VPB, HPG, BID, TPB, GVR, MSB, FPT, KDH, CTG, TCB.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 7.98 points included: VIC, VHM, VCB, GEX, GEE, LPB, VNM, VJC, SSB, EIB.

* The Vietnamese stock market index closed in green today, VNXALL-Index closed up 20.43 points (+0.76%), to 2,694.07 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,690.98 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 44,461.5 billion. In the whole market, there were 255 stocks increasing in price, 87 stocks remaining unchanged and 128 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 270.86 points, up 2.2 points (+0.82%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 132.75 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND2,724.85 billion. In the whole market, there were 102 stocks increasing in price, 64 stocks remaining unchanged and 73 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed up 7.92 points (+1.36%) to 592.21 points. Trading volume reached over 80.74 million units, equivalent to over VND2,124.74 billion. In the whole market, there were 14 stocks increasing in price, 7 stocks remaining unchanged and 9 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 107.92 points, up 0.46 points (+0.43%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 82.31 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 1,031.61 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 175 stocks increasing in price, 97 stocks remaining unchanged and 84 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 8.1 points (+0.51%), to 1,581.81 points. Liquidity reached over 1,697.27 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND44,159.45 billion. The entire floor had 223 stocks increasing, 47 stocks remaining unchanged and 106 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 11.54 points (+0.67%) and stopped at 1,734.85 points. Liquidity reached more than 701.52 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 22,874.43 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 17 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 11 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are HPG (over 139.11 million units), SHB (over 92.39 million units), TPB (over 73.65 million units), VPB (over 62.56 million units), CII (over 50.83 million units).
