Vietnam Airlines honored at Community Action Award

Vietnam Airlines has just been awarded the Human Act Prize for the category of the Sustainable Project Connecting Love with Golden Lotus. The Human Act Prize (Action for the Community Award) is an annual award organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, with the participation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Science and Technology . The award honors individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to society through prestigious community initiatives and projects that bring long-term and sustainable effects. Throughout its formation and development, as the national airline of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines has actively contributed to the sustainable development of society through community-connecting activities. For many years, the airline has regularly organized and participated in social activities such as supporting surgeries for children with disabilities; auctioning items to organize flights home for Tet for workers in difficult circumstances; supporting orphans after the Covid-19 pandemic; transporting transplanted organs for patients to "revive life"; organizing community-oriented art events such as Vietnam Airlines Classic Hanoi Concert, Monsoon... In which, "From Golden Lotus with Love" is a prominent project, officially launched in 2022 with the meaning of extending humanitarian arms by calling on Lotusmiles members to donate bonus miles to convert into air tickets, upgrades, luggage and non-aviation products and services of partners. Donated miles are used to support charitable activities of domestic and international organizations. The program includes many activities such as: supporting surgeries to bring smiles to children with unfortunate disabilities; connecting training to improve professional skills for Vietnamese doctors and nurses; supporting environmental protection, combating climate change...

Since its launch, the project has donated 7.2 million miles to exchange for aviation and non-aviation services to support charitable activities. We are continuing to develop and enhance the project to bring good human values ​​to the community and society.” The Human Act Prize is evaluated based on criteria to ensure impact, sustainability, level of commitment, creativity and spread in the community. In particular, the Sustainable Project category focuses on the factors of sustainability, continuity; commitment, long-term growth; level of budget investment; number of staff, time dedicated; clear vision and strategy.
