In 2025, the book "Dang Thuy Tram and the Third Diary" was published, an opportunity to look back at the complete story of a special person, an ordinary soldier during the war, helping us to know more about the portrait of Dang Thuy Tram with the youth, knowledge and culture of a pure and idealistic Hanoi girl; Dang Thuy Tram in the loving arms of her family and friends, before volunteering to go to the battlefield.

The childhood, adolescence and a part of the beautiful youth of Dang Thuy Tram are recounted, along with memories with family and friends, in the heart of the peaceful capital Hanoi, with a heart turned towards the South that is still suffering from bombs and bullets. An important part of the book is the unpublished manuscript of female doctor Dang Thuy Tram, including "The Third Diary" and some letters with family and friends.

That romantic, delicate and passionate medical student, while enthusiastically studying and training in a safe and favorable environment, was always full of worries about ideals, about the meaning of life, about the dream of curing patients, about the mission of citizens when the country was divided, about the courage to face challenges and injustice, with a Danko spirit without hesitation.

Then, he decided to go to the Southern battlefield, along with many young men from the North, not afraid of sacrifice and hardship. One thing that once caused much curiosity and controversy was the failed love affair of Dang Thuy Tram with M., a talented Southern soldier. In this book, it is also reviewed from the most honest and "real" perspective.

The latter part of the book recounts the journey of Dang Thuy Tram's two war diaries returning to where they belong after 35 years, thrilling and touching; stories after Dang Thuy Tram's Diary was published, such as the story of finding the first person from the "other side" who read Dang Thuy Tram's diary and prevented her from burning it, the trip to the US to receive the two lost diaries, the story of the great mother of the great daughter... "Dang Thuy Tram and the Third Diary" is a book that when we read it, we remember a person, like many other Vietnamese people, who sacrificed for the Fatherland, for peace, with the full ideals and love of immortal youth.

In 2005, two war diaries of female doctor and martyr Dang Thuy Tram, after 35 years of hiding in the US, were returned to her family by American veterans, and thanks to that, the world learned about "Dang Thuy Tram's Diary".

Up to now, more than half a million copies of the book have been published in Vietnam and translated into 23 languages ​​around the world, deeply moving and inspiring many people about the Vietnamese soul in the resistance war against America, delicate, brave and humane, still bright with aspiration and love amidst fierce bombs. Many events and activities... have been organized to honor the image of female doctor, martyr, and hero of the People's Armed Forces Dang Thuy Tram. The "flame" Dang Thuy Tram shines in the young generation of Vietnam, the vitality spread through her war diary has always been persistent for the past 20 years.

Author Dang Kim Tram is the younger sister of female doctor, martyr, and armed forces hero Dang Thuy Tram. She has translated many English books, written for newspapers, and is the main person in charge of Dang Thuy Tram's posthumous works, compiled into books, along with many other related documents.
