What candidates must do when admitted to university to avoid turning passing into failing

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates who have passed the university entrance exam, including those who have been directly admitted, if they wish to study at the school they have been admitted to, will be required to confirm their admission on the Ministry's general admission system. The confirmation period starts from August 25 to before 5:00 p.m. on August 30 at the address: http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn.

In case the candidate does not confirm and does not have a valid reason, the admission result will be canceled.

To ensure a smooth admission confirmation, candidates need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to the system: Access the address: http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn; enter full information: Personal identification number, login code, confirmation code.

Step 2: Look up admission results: After successfully logging in, select the "Look up" menu and then select "Look up admission results."

Step 3: View results and confirm: The system will display the result "Pass" or "Fail" for each wish. If the result is "Pass," the candidate clicks the "Confirm admission" button.

Step 4: Complete and check: Click "Agree" to complete the confirmation. Then, candidates check again by going to "Look up admission results." If the information status changes to "Enrolled", it means the candidate has successfully confirmed.

Candidates should note that after confirming admission, candidates cannot cancel on the system. If they want to cancel, candidates must contact the university directly for consideration.

After this deadline, from September 1 to December 2025, training institutions can consider additional admissions if there are still quotas. However, candidates who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to participate in additional admissions, unless the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll.

In addition to the general admission confirmation regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, universities may have additional regulations of their own. For example, Foreign Trade University stipulates that admitted candidates must complete 3 procedural steps: confirm admission online on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training, declare admission information online on the Foreign Trade University System, and enroll directly at the school according to the prescribed schedule. Within 15 days from the date of admission as announced by the school, if the candidate does not complete the admission procedures without a suitable reason/evidence, the school will remove the candidate's name from the list of admitted candidates.
