On July 14, the Vietnam Football Federation officially approved the renaming of Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club to Ninh Binh Football Club.

This is not only a legal change, but also an important step for Ninh Binh Club in the journey of building a new image, imbued with local identity, professional and full of aspiration.

New name, new position of Ninh Binh FC

If the name "Phu Dong" is associated with the past, then "Ninh Binh FC" is a clearer affirmation of identity, representing the ancient capital of Hoa Lu in the top football arena.

The shortened name helps increase recognition, is in line with modern trends and is easier to spread in international media. The name "Ninh Binh" not only evokes pride in the historical land, but also reflects the orientation of building a club closely associated with fans of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, where football is the inspiration and driving force for development.

New Logo: A Mark of Identity and Modernity

Along with the name change, Ninh Binh FC also officially launched a new identity logo. The center is a dark blue circle with the words “NINH BINH” designed in a straight, modern, and clear axis. On both sides are the images of a pair of red goats, animals associated with the limestone terrain of Trang An, symbolizing strength and endurance.

Above the logo is the number 1822, this is an important milestone marking the birth of the name Ninh Binh, opening the development journey of a land rich in cultural traditions and history of the nation. Meanwhile, the words "THAIGROUP" at the base of the logo is the strategic sponsor and foundation for the development of the team.

Clear strategy for the first season in V-League

Not only changing the name and logo, Ninh Binh FC is preparing to enter V-League 2025-2026 with a methodical strategy. Spanish head coach Gerard Albadalejo and his assistants from Spain bring a new breeze of modern football thinking. The squad is strengthened by quality foreign players from Brazil and Spain, in addition to Vietnamese players and carefully selected young talents.

At the same time, the club has renovated the stadium, upgraded the training center to meet AFC standards, and completed the operating system according to the professional football model. The team's leadership is also preparing to build an international standard football academy in Ninh Binh, which is the foundation for youth training and football development in the locality and the whole country.
