Notably, last year only group D10 had geography, this year the school expanded to 9 groups with history or geography. According to the registration data for the 2025 high school graduation exam, history and geography are the two elective subjects that most candidates choose to take, with nearly half a million candidates each (nearly 50% of candidates taking the exam choose history and geography). English is the third elective subject with nearly 360,000 candidates.

For candidates using the results of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test, the school requires a minimum score of 65/150 or higher.
Using the international SAT certificate for admission, the school requires a score of 1,100/1,600 or higher.
Candidates will combine their high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission, and are required to have an IELTS English certificate of 5.5 or higher or equivalent international English certificates.
