University of Natural Sciences opens 9 more groups with history and geography subjects

This year, the University of Natural Sciences uses 28 admission combinations (an increase of 18 combinations). In addition to combination D10 (math, physics, geography) considered last year, the school added 9 more combinations with history or geography.

According to the enrollment information just announced by the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in addition to the 10 admission combinations similar to last year, this year the school has expanded to 18 new combinations with subjects such as: history, geography, information technology, economic and legal education, and Chinese.

Notably, last year only group D10 had geography, this year the school expanded to 9 groups with history or geography. Candidates can choose to register for majors such as: chemistry, chemical engineering technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, biology, natural geography, land management, environmental science ...

According to the registration data for the 2025 high school graduation exam, history and geography are the two elective subjects that most candidates choose to take, with nearly half a million candidates each (nearly 50% of candidates taking the exam choose history and geography). English is the third elective subject with nearly 360,000 candidates.

In 2025, the University of Natural Sciences will use the following 28 admission combinations:

This year, the school recruits a total of 2,435 full-time university students with direct admission methods, high school graduation exam scores, competency assessment exam scores, SAT certificates, and combined graduation exam scores with international certificates...

For candidates using the results of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment test, the school requires a minimum score of 65/150 or higher.

Using the international SAT certificate for admission, the school requires a score of 1,100/1,600 or higher.

Candidates will combine their high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission, and are required to have an IELTS English certificate of 5.5 or higher or equivalent international English certificates.

Last year, the University of Natural Sciences set a benchmark score of 20 - 26.25 on a 30-point scale, with the major with the highest benchmark score being electronic engineering and information technology.
