On the afternoon of August 23, the two Pro men's singles semi-finals of the PPA Tour Asia - Hong Kong Open 2025 took place. In the second semi-final, the focus was on the internal battle of Vietnam, Ly Hoang Nam entered the semi-final with full energy, quickly creating an 8-3 gap against Trinh Linh Giang.

Meanwhile, Linh Giang started slowly, but the more he played, the more "warmed up" he became. He persistently shortened the score, equalized 8-8 and suddenly broke away, closing set 1 with an 11-8 victory.
In the second set, the match became tense as the two players took turns scoring points until 3-3. Ly Hoang Nam then accelerated, leading 6-3 and then 8-6, seemingly bringing the match back to balance, but once again, Trinh Linh Giang showed his mettle at the decisive moments.
Linh Giang scored consecutive points to level the score at 8-8 and continued to repeat the scenario of the first set, closing the set with an 11-8 victory.
In the end, Linh Giang won 2-0 (11-8, 11-8) against Ly Hoang Nam to enter the final and have a rematch with Jack Wong (Hong Kong - China), who defeated Vinh Hien 2-0. Meanwhile, the third place match was a contest between Ly Hoang Nam and Truong Vinh Hien.
In the opening tour of PPA Tour Asia, Linh Giang defeated the Hong Kong (China) player with a score of 2-0 (12-10, 11-7).

Before Nam and Giang's match in the Pro men's singles, they also played in the men's doubles quarterfinals this afternoon but lost to the Australian duo 2-1.
Also today, the PPA Tour Asia - Hong Kong Open 2025 held the quarter-finals and semi-finals of other events, notably Trinh Linh Giang and her partner Connie Lee (USA) also won tickets to the mixed doubles final.
