According to a survey by Decision Lab in the Vietnamese market, Coc Coc ranks second in terms of PC users, with a user rate of 59%, just behind Google Chrome and far surpassing other browsers.

On mobile, Coc Coc maintains a significant market share of 21%, behind Chrome and Safari with 75% and 30% respectively.

The report assessed Coc Coc as “a domestic web browser developed in Vietnam, making significant progress, emerging as a strong competitor to 'giants' like Google Chrome and Safari on both PC and mobile platforms”.

According to the evaluation of people who use Coc Coc browser, 56% of PC users love the video downloading feature, 51% appreciate the ability to browse the web safely and 45% prefer the ad blocking feature.

On mobile devices, users also showed strong preference for ad blocking (58%) and safe browsing (56%). Notably, 51% of mobile users voted the multimedia toolbar as their favorite feature on Coc Coc.

According to the report, instead of using just one browser, users are now increasingly having more diverse options when surfing the web. On average, each person uses two applications on both PC and mobile.

Among them, Google Chrome leads as the most popular browser, favored by 64% of PC users and 62% of mobile users, followed by Coc Coc in second place on PC with 23% and third place on mobile with 9%.

According to Decision Lab's article: "Coc Coc stands out not only in usage statistics but also in user recommendations."

Research from Decision Lab also shows that this browser achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 53 on PC, holding the second position after Chrome. Notably, although the usage rate on mobile is lower than Chrome and Safari, Coc Coc achieved the highest NPS score of 66.

NPS is an index that measures the level of customer willingness to continue using products and services and recommend them to relatives and friends.

“The level of trust shown through the NPS score emphasizes Coc Coc's strong engagement with users, reinforcing the browser's reputation and reliability in the market,” Decision Lab assessed.

“The ability to innovate and provide user-centric features has helped Coc Coc quickly close the gap with global competitors. This trend shows Coc Coc’s potential in attracting a young, tech-savvy user group,” said Thue Quist Thomasen, CEO of Decision Lab.

Gen Z prefers Coc Coc more than other generations

Data from the report also shows the trend of regular users by age group. Gen Z shows that they prefer Coc Coc more than other generations. Specifically, while the rate of Google Chrome usage on PC by Gen Z is only 57%, lower than Gen X (67%) and Gen Y (66%), the rate of Gen Z using Coc Coc is 27% on PC and 17% on mobile, higher than the rate of Generation X (20% on PC, 6% on mobile) and Y (22% on PC, 8% on mobile).

The Connected Consumer is a quarterly study conducted by Decision Lab. This report focuses on analyzing consumers' online habits, including the use of social media, entertainment ( music , movies, online videos), and other utilities.
