OpenAI is said to be developing its own web browser with the support of many AI tools, promising to be a formidable competitor to Google.

OpenAI - the company behind the "divine" ChatGPT, is said to be developing a new web browser that combines ChatGPT and other AI tools, providing many unique features such as information search, content aggregation, translation,... putting pressure on Google.

Accordingly, the browser, codenamed NLWeb, allows users to interact in natural language, providing a smart browsing experience thanks to the power of AI, especially ChatGPT.

In addition, OpenAi has also recruited two key engineers from the Google Chrome project, including Ben Goodger, one of the creators of this browser.

This is considered a direct “declaration of war” by OpenAI against Google, the “giant” that dominates the web browsing market today. However, this competition can bring many benefits to users, as technology companies continuously innovate and improve their products.

Recently, the US Department of Justice has also been pressuring Google to sell its Chrome browser to fight against its monopoly in the search field. So if OpenAI takes advantage of this “golden opportunity”, the browser market could have drastic changes.

In addition to developing the browser, OpenAI also partnered with Samsung to provide AI products. If the deal is successful, OpenAI will gain a huge user base for services besides Apple Intelligence.

With the strong rise of new names, the "veteran" Google is having to increase many efforts to maintain its competitiveness with OpenAI in particular and other AI companies in general. Previously, in 2022, Google launched the Gemini chatbot to compete with ChatGPT.
