Photo exhibition of Nghe An Press in the flow of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary press

On the afternoon of June 19, Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association held the opening ceremony of a press photo exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Attend The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Ngo Duc Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and representatives of relevant departments, agencies and units.

The photo exhibition " Nghe An Press in the flow of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary press" is an opportunity to look back at the glorious journey of generations of journalists and press agencies in the homeland of Nghe An; to pay tribute to the great contributions of generations of journalists and press workers. At the same time, it affirms the role, position and contributions of Nghe An press in the historical flow of Vietnamese revolutionary press.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, comrade Ho Thi Ngan - Permanent Vice President of Nghe An Journalists Association affirmed that Nghe An - the homeland of the great President Ho Chi Minh , is a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions, so Nghe An's press was born very early to serve the revolutionary struggle of the people.

From hand-printed newspapers during the resistance war, evacuation areas, to radio news broadcasts in the trenches, or television reports, hot news on electronic newspapers during the renovation period, and until today when Nghe An press has strongly transformed in the digital age, each journey is imbued with the passion, courage, sacrifice, dedication and spirit of serving the people of generations of Nghe An journalists.

The exhibition displays nearly 200 photos, a panoramic picture of Vietnamese journalism, from the early days before the revolution, to the birth of revolutionary journalism and Nghe An journalism through the periods.

In the 100-year history of revolutionary journalism, Nghe An Newspaper has been around for 64 years, the radio industry for 69 years, the television industry for 49 years, Song Lam Magazine for 58 years, Nghe An Police Newspaper for 37 years, and Nghe An Labor Newspaper for 24 years.

Regardless of whether they were established early or late, or how long they have existed, the press agencies of the province have fulfilled their missions and purposes well, contributing to serving the homeland, the country, and the people. These are proud pieces that have built the brilliant achievements of Nghe An journalism today.

The exhibition displays press images from the early days to today's modern press of Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Song Lam Magazine, Military Zone 4 Newspaper, Nghe An Police Newspaper, Nghe An Labor Newspaper and resident press in the province...

From the example of veteran journalists, soldier journalists on the battlefield, the young generation of reporters today are continuing the revolutionary journalism career with passionate hearts and love for the profession. The old newspaper pages and valuable documentary images displayed today not only recount the history of Vietnamese journalism, Nghe An journalism, but also honor the humanistic values, social responsibility and dedication of the Nghe An journalism team.

The photo exhibition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press is also a profound gratitude to generations of journalists who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause, who have tirelessly contributed to the truth, justice, the Fatherland and the people. This is also an affirmation: Nghe An press will continue to promote tradition, innovate, be creative, always maintain its role as the voice of the Party, the forum of the people, always be the flame that illuminates public opinion, and be the bridge between the government and the people in the era of digital transformation and international integration.
