This is the third time the program has been organized and has become a familiar activity attracting a large number of people, agencies, departments, organizations, units and the entire community and society in the province to participate.

More than 1,000 people participate in the program to exchange recycled items for gifts

At just after 7 a.m., nearly 100 volunteers from the Organizing Committee and sponsors were busy preparing nearly 20 gift booths such as candy, necessities, Tay Ninh specialties, books, children's toys... ready to serve people coming to participate in the program.

People and children enthusiastically exchanged old batteries for gifts.
The Certificate of Good People and Good Deeds was designed by the Organizing Committee to thank the people for their support in participating in the program.

By exchanging used batteries/plastic bottles, cans, stories/children's books for gifts, the program took place enthusiastically, attracting the participation of more than 1,000 people and children. Although the gifts were small, they created an environment of "Giving kindness" spreading to the people and the community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Quy - Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station shared that over the years, with the efforts to spread the message "Raising awareness - Changing behavior - Promoting action" towards a green lifestyle, the Trao program has contributed to building and promoting environmental protection awareness in the community and people.

Continuing the success and influence of the program, he called on all people, businesses, and units to actively respond to environmental protection models such as battery collection, waste classification at source, old books collection and giving to those in need... to everyone around. Thereby, join hands to build a green Tay Ninh, a green - clean - beautiful, modern, civilized living environment, especially sowing environmental protection awareness for future generations.

Mr. Vo Van Quy - Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station delivered the opening speech of the TRAO program.

During the exciting morning "exchange", the program collected 160,000 batteries, 50kg of used plastic bottles and cans; collected more than 800 used children's books/stories to send to children in difficult circumstances.

The impressive number of items collected is the result after 3 years of spreading the message of environmental protection, green, clean and beautiful lifestyle of the "Trao" program. In addition, the program also contributes to creating more opportunities for children to access books and stories to practice reading skills and culture, contributing to the development of reading culture in the province.

Children enjoyed the gift vouchers and eco-friendly certificates.

To spread kindness to everyone, the Organizing Committee of this year's program also awarded certificates of Love for the Environment and certificates of Good People and Good Deeds to people who participated. These small but meaningful actions have created a "green" effect from action to awareness for everyone.

Building a sustainable green lifestyle

The “Giving” program is an activity in response to World Environment Day and the 2025 Environmental Action Month of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station, the Provincial Youth Union and businesses in the province. Over the past 3 years, the program has contributed significantly to building awareness of environmental protection and a sustainable green lifestyle for people and the community.

People enjoy the booth exchanging batteries for trees.

Many people said that from the activity of exchanging plastic waste and used batteries for gifts, they have formed the habit of collecting old batteries, sorting plastic waste at home and further spreading this model to everyone around them.

Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Ngan, resident of Ward 1, Tay Ninh City, a resident who has participated in the "Trao" program for the past 3 years, shared that after participating in the "Trao" program for the first time, she has gradually developed the habit of collecting old batteries.

She actively responded to the Battery House model launched by the Provincial Youth Union by designing a battery box at home and encouraging her relatives to collect old batteries to participate in the program. Not only that, she also spread this model to her colleagues at her work unit.

“This model has been enthusiastically responded to by my friends and colleagues. After 2 years of practicing this habit together, we have brought hundreds of used batteries to the Exchange for Gifts program.

This response helps us effectivelyeducate our children in building awareness of protecting the living environment and a neat and orderly lifestyle," said Ms. Ngan.

People enthusiastically participated in the program of exchanging recycled items for gifts of confectionery and necessities.

Not only does the program raise awareness among the people, it also imparts green lifestyles to units and businesses; thereby contributing to the formation of a healthy green living culture in enterprises and units in the province.

Ms. Au Vuong Ngoc - Director of Vuong Ngoc Vegan Company Limited shared that, joining the Giving program from the first time, she wanted to spread this message to people around her, especially in her business.

Thinking is doing, she started implementing a green living culture right at the company by placing used battery collection boxes and equipping the company with waste sorting bins. After a long time of implementation, the model received positive response from employees and workers.

To further spread this meaningful model, Ms. Ngoc said that in the near future she will build more battery collection models at the company's product display stores and her vegetarian restaurant for customers and people to participate.

“I do these activities with the hope of spreading the message “Give old batteries – sow new green seeds”, contributing to spreading this green lifestyle to the community and society” – Ms. Ngoc said.

People check-in with the Give program.
Many young people bring their children to participate in the program with the hope of instilling environmental awareness in them.

Green living is a positive and useful lifestyle, not only bringing us great health but also contributing to environmental protection. From the effectiveness of the Trao program as well as the efforts of agencies, departments, and individuals living positively in the province, the green living movement is gradually spreading in the community of people in the province and becoming a lifestyle chosen by many people.
