Unforgettable experience when trekking Ta Nang

Nguyen Thi Yen (25 years old, Bac Giang ) experienced many emotions throughout the 2-day, 2-night trekking trip to Ta Nang - Phan Dung.

Ta Nang - Phan Dung is known as one of the most beautiful trekking routes in Vietnam. This route is a total of 35km long, passing through the borders of 3 adjacent provinces: Lam Dong - Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan .

Having a passion for traveling and trekking to explore nature, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, vlogger of Yen Vi Vu channel, had a trip full of unforgettable memories when conquering Ta Nang - Phan Dung in 2 days and 2 nights.

The female tourist confirmed that this trip happened quite randomly: "In mid-August 2024, I went on a business trip in Saigon for more than a week. There was a trekking tour to Ta Nang - Phan Dung scheduled, so I invited a friend in Ben Tre to go with me. I didn't know the other members of the group before."

Before the trip, she had prepared both physically and mentally, packing very carefully. Due to the nature of her job, Yen is usually always active, moving continuously in many different weather conditions, so she is in good health.

The young girl also asked for many feelings and advice from friends who had trekked Ta Nang - Phan Dung and seemed quite assured because the route was not difficult, however, if the weather was bad, the road would be slippery and there might be leeches.

Yen's belongings only include basic items such as: coat, shoes, sandals, wide-brimmed hat, sun gloves, water bottle, personal hygiene items, medicines and filming equipment...

Regarding the scenery of the legendary trekking route, Yen affirmed: “I was quite surprised by the scenery and atmosphere at Ta Nang - Phan Dung. If talking about beautiful and majestic mountains, they are definitely not as beautiful as the mountain ranges in the North that I often visit. But if you put yourself in the position of a tourist from Saigon, you will have to exclaim “Wow” because of the overlapping mountain ranges and diverse vegetation.”

The female tourist shared that she was most impressed with the nearly 30km long but extremely steep route: “Going uphill and downhill countless times. I felt like my leg muscles had to work a lot. When going uphill, it was tense, when going downhill, it was loose. It was really quite tiring.”

In addition, Yen shared that she had digestive problems on the afternoon of the first day. This more or less affected her eating, daily activities as well as her sightseeing experience.

“It's a real nightmare if you have digestive problems while trekking,” she said.

In addition, another guest in the group also unfortunately slipped and fell after only going the first 5km. This was an accident, an unexpected incident but it can happen on trekking trips that require good health, endurance as well as "stubbornness" and bravery in character.

According to Yen, the cost of the trip is not too expensive: "I booked a Ta Nang - Phan Dung tour for nearly 3 million VND departing from Saigon for 2 days and 2 nights from a reputable agency, so I was quite assured. From vehicles, roads, food and accommodation, the tour guide and logistics took care of everything."

In addition, she also gives advice to tourists who intend to explore Ta Nang - Phan Dung in particular and other routes in general. In addition to physical training by jogging or jumping rope, visitors should bring additional vitamins and necessary digestive medicine.

After finishing the Ta Nang - Phan Dung trekking trip with many emotions, Yen affirmed that from now until the end of the year she will conquer many other northern mountain peaks.

“Depending on the weather and time, it could be Ta Chi Nhu, Bach Moc Luong Tu, Ta Xua, Sa Mu - U Bo, Tay Con Linh. Those are some of the routes I want to go. As for Ta Nang - Phan Dung, if we have the chance, we will visit again. Because I heard people say that the season of withered grass and the season of burnt grass from December to March are also very beautiful,” she said.
