Tan Uyen City: Effectively mobilizing all resources for development investment

In the first 6 months of 2025, the economic situation of Tan Uyen City continued to achieve many positive results, changing more than the same period in 2024 in most areas. In particular, important economic indicators that are the main growth drivers all achieved good results, creating momentum for the locality to soon complete the growth and development targets for the whole year.

The Standing Committee of Tan Uyen Ward Party Committee recently conducted a survey at the Public Administration Service Center.

According to the People's Committee of Tan Uyen City, in 2025, the City People's Committee was assigned 25 targets according to groups of issues such as economic, urban, environmental, cultural - social , digital transformation, national defense and security targets to focus on the city's socio-economic development. From the beginning of the year, the City People's Committee focused on directing the synchronous implementation of solutions for implementation. As a result, up to now, 12/25 targets have met and exceeded the plan set for 2025 (exceeding 4 targets, achieving 8 targets); the remaining targets are basically implemented according to plan.

Notably, the city's industrial production value is estimated at 17,160 billion VND, up 13.72%; the trade and service value is estimated at 21,106 billion VND, up 24.31%; the agricultural, forestry and fishery production value is estimated at 275 billion VND, up 3.38% over the same period in 2024; the total state budget revenue is estimated at 4,654 billion VND, reaching 79% of the provincial estimate, 76% of the city People's Council's estimate for the whole year. The City People's Committee is focusing on directing the implementation of site clearance for projects; effectively implementing the 2025 public investment capital plan, contributing together with departments, branches and localities in the province to achieve the double-digit growth target set by the province.

According to the leaders of Tan Uyen City, in the first 6 months of 2025, the estimated value of public investment disbursement of the city reached 36% of the plan. Site clearance work was carried out on schedule; difficulties and problems of works and projects were promptly resolved. The city has completed the dossier and received approval from the Provincial People's Committee to locally adjust the General Planning of Tan Uyen City to 2040; along with that, implementing procedures to establish locally adjust the Zoning Plan of Khanh Binh, Uyen Hung, Tan Hiep, Thanh Phuoc wards.

Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Uyen City, said that with many synchronous, flexible and creative solutions, in the first 6 months of 2025, the city has effectively implemented many socio-economic development targets. To complete the set goals for the whole year, many solutions are being resolutely directed and implemented by the city. "Currently, the economy of Tan Uyen City is growing steadily and rapidly shifting towards industry and services, attracting effective investment projects. The city is implementing many solutions to mobilize all investment resources for development to quickly improve the infrastructure system, especially connecting traffic infrastructure. The city is also promoting administrative procedure reform; improving the investment and business environment, taking advantage of every opportunity to promote the business and investment environment to investors in the new period," said Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi.

Create new power and position

On June 18, the FPT Education Complex Project was started in Thai Hoa Ward, Tan Uyen City. This is a key project that is expected to contribute to the innovative educational ecosystem, in line with the orientation of human resource development and digital infrastructure of the locality. The project has a total land area of over 84,000m², a total construction floor area of about 130,000m², and a total investment of 543 billion VND. The project's investment goal is to form an educational complex, meeting the learning needs of about 4,000 students. It is expected that phase 1 of the project will complete the roofing of lecture halls, dormitories, multi-purpose buildings and part of the technical infrastructure in the first quarter of 2026 and come into operation in the third quarter of 2026.

Currently, Tan Uyen City is urgently implementing urban beautification, focusing on investing in a number of infrastructure projects such as the Ho Chi Minh - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 section passing through the city; upgrading and expanding the DH.402 route; dredging and reinforcing Cai stream project from Tho Ut bridge to Dong Nai river; exploiting public land funds to build social and technical infrastructure works...

Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi emphasized that, in order to concretize the local socio-economic development orientations, the city always creates conditions for organizations, individuals, and economic sectors to invest in production development, build infrastructure; exploit the potential and strengths of the city... to serve socio-economic development, improve people's lives; contribute to creating new positions and forces to promote the development of Tan Uyen City in the coming time.

Recently, along with other wards, the new Tan Uyen ward (established on the basis of merging Uyen Hung ward, Bach Dang commune (Tan Uyen city), Tan Lap commune and hamlets 2, 3, Xom Den, Vuon Vu, Bung Luong in Tan My commune, Bac Tan Uyen district) has organized a trial operation. This is an important preparation step to ensure that the new ward apparatus operates smoothly, ready to officially come into operation from July 1, contributing to building a streamlined government apparatus, operating effectively, efficiently, close to the people, meeting the development requirements in the new period.
