Ho Chi Minh City and Shenyang City (China) agreed to cooperate in potential fields.

On the afternoon of September 25, on the sidelines of the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum, Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh, Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City received Mr. Liu Zhenning, Deputy Secretary General of the People's Association for Foreign Friendship of Shenyang City (China).

At the reception, Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation from Shenyang City to visit and work in Ho Chi Minh City within the framework of the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum and the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue.

Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh shared that Ho Chi Minh City is having friendly and cooperative relations with 8 Chinese localities, including Shenyang City (established friendly relations in April 1999). Ho Chi Minh City leaders and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs highly value the cooperative relationship with Shenyang City.

Ho Chi Minh City hopes that the two sides will increase investment cooperation, share technology and develop industries, especially high-tech industries such as electronics, mechanics, biotechnology, etc.

In addition, cooperation in developing trade infrastructure, transportation, technology, digital economy and sustainable development are also areas in which the two sides can cooperate in the coming time.

On the side of Shenyang City, Mr. Liu Zhenning congratulated the success of the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue and the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum in 2024, and affirmed that he will continue to support and promote cooperation between the two sides in potential areas.
