The Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is organized annually by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the desire to inspire a passion for reading among students. Thereby, encouraging and promoting the reading movement among the young generation, making an important contribution to the development of reading culture in schools and communities.
The preliminary round of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador contest in Ben Tre province was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of students of all levels across the province with 584 entries, including 8 videos .
According to the judges, participating students chose suitable books, closely following the questions set by the organizers to write reviews and make videos reviewing the books. Many of the entries were of high quality, well-written, creating a spread of reading culture. Candidates chose a variety of ways of expression besides writing such as drawing, videos, and applying technology software, achieving quality.
The jury graded the entries and selected 34 individual prizes. Of which, Tran Dinh Khoi (grade 5 student, Tan Phong Primary School) won first prize in the Primary level, Nguyen Tram Anh (grade 7 student, My An Secondary School) won first prize in the Secondary level, Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen (grade 10 student, Doan Thi Diem High School) won second prize in the High School level (no first prize), and Cu Chi Linh ( Ben Tre College) won first prize in the College - University level.
In addition, Phu My Primary School and Nguyen Van Tu Secondary School won the collective prize, which is the 2 schools with the most contestants, Doan Thi Diem High School is the school with the most contestants winning prizes. The Organizing Committee also awarded 3 other thematic prizes to the contestants, including: Best short story to encourage reading, Most impressive contest video, Most impressive contest article. There are 6 entries selected to participate in the Reading Culture Ambassador contest organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
