The National High School Sports Tournament, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training from June 8-16, 2025 in Hue City, includes 5 sports: Football, basketball, swimming, athletics and Vovinam. Phu Yen student sports delegation has 11 athletes participating in 3 teams: Vovinam (5 athletes), swimming (3 athletes), athletics (3 athletes).
As a result, the Phu Yen student sports delegation won 2 gold medals at the tournament. Tran Bao Uyen, Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Tuy Hoa City) brought home a gold medal in the high jump event; along with that, Luong Huy Hoang, Tran Phu High School (Tuy An District) excellently won a gold medal in the individual vovinam competition in the 51kg weight class.
In addition, Pham Minh Quan, Nguyen Du High School (Song Hinh district) also won a silver medal in the high school weightlifting event and Le Nguyen Bao Anh, Au Co Primary School (Tuy Hoa city) brought home a bronze medal in the primary school weightlifting event.
To recognize the efforts and excellent achievements, the Department of Education and Training awarded each gold medalist 4 million VND, silver medalist 3 million VND and bronze medalist 2 million VND.
