Assessing the situation from the beginning of 2025 to present, the functional sector recorded that tourism and service activities in the province have developed well thanks to the beautiful weather, convenient transportation, long holidays, and many attractive programs... In May alone, the destination of Binh Thuan has approached the impressive figure of welcoming 1 million visitors/month (about 992,300 visitors, an increase of more than 12% compared to the previous month and an increase of 28.11% compared to the same period last year). With the current growth rate maintained, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan estimates that in the first half of 2025, the whole province will welcome more than 5.5 million visitors, an increase of nearly 19% over the same period. Including: International visitors are about 284,000 (an increase of approximately 40% over the same period in 2024) and domestic visitors are 5,220,000 (an increase of 17.5% over the same period)... Revenue from tourism activities in the province also increased with the number of visitors, in the first 6 months of this year it is estimated at 15,030 billion VND, an increase of 25% over the same period last year.
According to the 2025 Tourism Development Stimulus Plan with the theme "Binh Thuan - Endless Experiences" issued by the Provincial People's Committee before entering the peak summer season, the locality has set a goal of promoting growth in both the number of visitors and tourism revenue. In particular, in 2025, it strives to welcome more than 11 million visitors to Binh Thuan associated with developing trade and services, stimulating the consumption of domestic goods, especially locally produced goods... With the above target (higher than the target set at the beginning of the year to welcome 10.6 million visitors, while Resolution 06 of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development set a target of welcoming 8.9 million visitors by 2025), it shows that the potential and strengths of Binh Thuan tourism are being effectively exploited.
Aiming to boost growth in both the number of visitors and tourism revenue, Binh Thuan will continue to strengthen the promotion of the brand and image of the destination to the outside. Along with that, it will step up investment in building infrastructure for tourism, diversifying products and services, focusing on improving the quality of human resources in the industry to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development in the coming period. Especially after the General Plan for the construction of Mui Ne National Tourist Area to 2040, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Government, helping the locality develop in the right direction. From there, it will gradually affirm its position on the map of Vietnam tourism, making Mui Ne National Tourist Area an international tourist center as well as a leading destination in the Asia - Pacific region...
Through review, the tourism industry said that the province currently has more than 670 accommodation establishments with a total of 20,960 rooms, of which 67 establishments have been ranked (with 6,461 rooms), mainly from 3 to 5 stars. In addition to the high-end resort type, the locality also has hundreds of hotels, motels, houses with rooms for rent and more than 1,500 apartments, villas for accommodation business and 1 tourist campsite (with 50 rooms, tents). In recent times, Binh Thuan destination has also formed a number of new tourism products such as Wonderland Water Park, Dino Park, Safari Café, Wonder Hill, Mango Beach. Meanwhile, the types of services for tourists: Transportation, dining, shopping, spa, recreational sports (on the sea - sand dunes, Sup rowing, scuba diving to see coral) ... continue to meet the needs of international and domestic visitors.
Especially with the strength of sea and island tourism and tourism activities taking place vibrantly throughout the year thanks to many favorable factors, Binh Thuan destination is still showing its competitiveness in attracting visitors. Thereby, not only attracting a large number of tourists but also contributing to extending the length of stay as well as increasing the spending of visitors when coming to the locality for relaxation, sightseeing, and experience... With the results of the first half of this year, it can be said that the goal of welcoming more than 11 million visitors in 2025 and achieving a total revenue of 28,200 billion VND of Binh Thuan tourism industry is not too difficult to achieve.
