How 'huge' is Messi's income in the US?

Fixed salary 20.45 million USD

According to data released by the MLS Players Association (MLSPA) on June 25, Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) has a base salary of 20.45 million USD/year, the highest among players playing in the US. This amount is even higher than the salary fund of 21/30 teams in MLS.

But this is not Messi's total income. In addition to his fixed salary, the Argentine superstar has many other sources of income such as advertising contracts and revenue sharing agreements.

$150 million for 2 and a half years

According to US media statistics, Messi could pocket about 150 million USD if he completes his two and a half year contract with Inter Miami.
