Gia Loc town meets civilized urban standards

Gia Loc town is increasingly spacious and clean.

Gia Loc town is over 836 hectares wide, including 11 residential areas, with 6,263 households and 20,517 people.

Gia Loc town has over 27 km of alleys and lanes, all of which are paved with asphalt, concrete, and have lighting systems installed. The roads are regularly cleaned and sanitized. 100% of households use clean water and have hygienic bathrooms and toilets. The security and order situation in the town is stable, with no illegal religious activities.

By August 2024, the average income of the town's residents will reach 85 million VND, 5 million VND/person higher than the average income of the district. The poverty rate is 0.092%. The rate of people participating in health insurance is over 92%. The number of households with solid houses is nearly 94%, with no temporary or dilapidated houses.

Gia Loc town’s kindergarten, primary and secondary schools are recognized as meeting national standards. The town has completed the target of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children, and the rate of secondary school students achieving universal education is 100%.

Town organizations regularly clean up and plant trees in public places.

In 2022 and 2023, the Town Party Committee was classified as having fulfilled its tasks well. Political and social organizations had many positive activities, supporting members in economic development, environmental sanitation, etc.

In 2023, before building a civilized urban area, Gia Loc town reviewed and only met 4 criteria, 5 criteria were not met including: urban planning; urban traffic; environment and food safety; urban security and order; urban information and communication.

Up to now, Hai Duong has about 20 wards and towns recognized as civilized urban areas, concentrated in Hai Duong city and Kinh Mon town.
