Ninh Binh supports scholarships and living expenses for specialized school students

GD&TĐ - From the 2025-2026 school year, students of specialized high schools in Ninh Binh province will receive monthly scholarships and living expenses.

Informing the Education and Times Newspaper, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ninh Binh province said that the People's Council of Ninh Binh province has just issued Resolution 07/2025 regulating scholarship policies and support to encourage learning for students of specialized high schools in the province. This is the result of practical research and active consultation from the Department of Education and Training to the leaders of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee to support appropriate policies for students of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted and Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted.

For students selected to be in provincial teams to participate in national, regional and international competitions for excellent students and scientific research, who meet the criteria for being considered for a scholarship to encourage learning according to regulations, the scholarship level is 1.3 million VND/student/month.

For students who participate in provincial-level competitions for excellent students and scientific research and win Third Prize or higher, and meet the criteria for being considered for a scholarship to encourage learning according to regulations, the scholarship level is 1.1 million VND/student/month.

For the remaining students who meet the criteria for the scholarship to encourage learning according to regulations, the scholarship level is 900 thousand VND/student/month. Students who meet the conditions to receive multiple scholarships will only receive the highest scholarship level.

The scholarship is calculated by academic year, divided into two terms; term 1 is granted a 4-month scholarship, term 2 is granted a 5-month scholarship.

Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council also decided on the level of living allowance support for students of specialized high schools as follows:

Students with permanent residence in the following communes/wards: Tay Hoa Lu, Dong Hoa Lu, Nam Hoa Lu, Y Yen, Dong A, Thien Truong, Vi Khe, My Loc, Thanh Nam, Truong Thi, Nam Ly, Hong Quang, Ha Nam, Phu Van, Chau Son, Liem Ha and Liem Tuyen are supported with 1.6 million VND/student/month.

Students with permanent residence in the remaining communes/wards (except the above communes/wards and Hoa Lu, Nam Dinh, Phu Ly wards), the living allowance is 2.4 million VND/student/month. The support period is based on the actual number of months of study, not exceeding 9 months/school year.

In addition, Ninh Binh province also supports students participating in national excellent student competitions with a monthly allowance of 820,000 VND/student. The support period is not more than 4 months per school year. This resolution demonstrates the timely concern of Ninh Binh province's leaders for the education sector despite many difficulties after the merger.
