Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade were the first two schools to finalize the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced that students will have Lunar New Year 2025 holiday from January 20 (December 21) to February 11 (January 14).

If combined with the two previous weekends, students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry will have a total of 25 days off. From February 12, students will return to school according to the normal schedule.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will give students a 28-day Lunar New Year holiday, starting from January 20 (December 21) to February 16, 2025 (January 19). According to Master Pham Thai Son, Director of the University's Admissions and Communications Center, the long Tet holiday is to help students, staff, lecturers, employees and workers have time to rest and restore their working capacity.

In a document sent to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training agreed to the plan for students, officials and teachers to have Tet holiday 2025 from Saturday, January 25 to Sunday, February 2 (ie December 26, year of Giap Thin to January 5, year of At Ty).

Thus, with this plan, cadres, teachers, school staff and students will have 9 days off (including 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off for the weekend). However, most universities give students a longer break. The reason is that schools are proactive in arranging training plans and school year time frames.
