Leading in digital transformation

Our country is entering a crucial stage of industrialization, modernization and international integration. More than ever, the spirit of initiative, creativity and pioneering of the youth needs to be strongly promoted.

Our Party always promotes the role and position of youth, identifies youth as the revolutionary vanguard, and youth work as a matter of national survival. At the same time, the Party also sets out many policies on education , training, and nurturing youth to become a strong, loyal force, continuing the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

In addition, the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union also determined: “Building a generation of Vietnamese youth who are comprehensively developed, patriotic, self-reliant, and proud of their nation; with revolutionary ideals, ambitions, and aspirations to build a prosperous and happy country; with ethics, civic awareness, and law-abidingness; health; culture; knowledge of science and technology; life and career skills; the will to establish a career; dynamism and creativity. Promoting the spirit of initiative, volunteerism, creativity, and responsibility of young people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, especially in international integration and national digital transformation, contributing to realizing the country's development goals by 2030, with a vision to 2045…”.

In the context of the rapidly developing global digital economy, young people are the ones with the greatest advantage. With their acumen, ability to quickly access and master technology, they can play a leading role in applying technology to all aspects of life.

Young people are fortunate to live in an era of unprecedented opportunities, where every idea can be realized and every initiative can create a positive impact. Each young person, through their efforts and dedication, not only contributes to the development of the country but also affirms their own value and role.

This is not only the task and mission of the youth but also a great honor, because they are the core force, the future owners of the country. There are many action movements that only the youth and the youth can commit to. The most obvious, vivid and practical manifestation is the task of national digital transformation, developing the digital economy in the face of the challenges of the global digital economy and the current 4.0 industrial revolution.

In his “Letter to the Youth” dated August 12, 1947, Uncle Ho advised: “The prosperity or decline, weakness or strength of the country depends largely on the youth. If the youth want to be worthy masters of the future, they must train their spirit and strength right now, and work to prepare for that future.”

However, at present, there is still a part of the youth who is still vague about their responsibility to their homeland and country; not yet steadfast in their political stance and ideology, awareness, easily shaken, wavering, being lured, seduced, and incited by reactionary forces. Or a part of the youth today, due to the influence of a hedonistic lifestyle, accustomed to demanding and demanding, forget or do not care about their responsibility to the Fatherland.

The important thing is the effort and training of each young person in terms of awareness, perception and action to enhance their social responsibility. Only then and only then can young people contribute and be worthy of being the future masters of the country.

National digital transformation is one of the top priorities, and young people are the core force to carry it out. With their acumen, ability to quickly access and master technology, young people can play a leading role in applying technology to all aspects of life.

Mastering technology is extremely necessary. To do so, young people need to equip themselves with knowledge and skills in information technology, programming, network security and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). At the same time, they need to participate in digital transformation projects of the State, businesses and the community. They can be volunteers, founders of technology startups, contributing to solving social problems with technology. In other words, young people can start businesses, create digital products and services, contributing to promoting the development of Vietnam's digital economy, bringing the country deeper into the global digital economy.

Preserve and spread cultural values

The digital age with its explosion of information also poses challenges in preserving cultural identity. Specifically, young people must be responsible for preserving and promoting the nation's fine cultural values, while selectively absorbing the cultural quintessence of humanity.

At the same time, use digital platforms to promote the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends. Moreover, young people need to have enough courage to identify and refute false information, distorting the history and culture of the nation. Create valuable, educational and humane digital content, contributing to creating a healthy and positive social network environment.

As the future owners of the country, it is extremely necessary for young people to train and prepare a solid foundation. To become responsible digital citizens, they need to practice ethics, lifestyle, have a strong political stance, and be ready to face and overcome all difficulties. In particular, young people must have the spirit of learning, creativity, always updating knowledge, constantly learning and creating. Young people have youthful energy, enthusiasm, dare to think, dare to do and dare to commit - these are important factors to create positive changes.

International Youth Day (August 12) is an occasion to celebrate the role of young people as agents of social change. They are the creative force, leading the way in development movements.

Therefore, let each young person become a "warrior" on the digital front, mastering technology, preserving and promoting cultural values, and together creating a bright future for the country. With their youth, enthusiasm and intelligence, Vietnamese youth will certainly write new glorious pages for the country's innovation and development.
