17 rescued wild animals released into the wild

17 wild animals after rescue were released into the natural environment, including 1 palm civet, 1 wild cat, 2 don, 9 big-headed turtles, 1 mountain tortoise, 1 Burmese hawksbill, 1 black hawksbill and 1 large falcon. The release location is at lot 18, 20, compartment 6, sub-area 295A of Hoang Lien National Park in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

Mr. La Van Toi, Director of Hoang Lien Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms, said that this is the third time Hoang Lien National Park organizes the release of rescued wild animals into the natural environment in 2023, the number of individuals after 3 re-releases is 76 individuals.

All wild animals have been received and successfully rescued by the Hoang Lien Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Hoang Lien National Park) and are eligible for release into the wild according to regulations, in accordance with the CITES International Convention, to protect endangered wild animals and plants.

All released species are health checked and trained to behave appropriately in the natural environment before release and are monitored and patrolled after release to ensure that the species adapt to natural living conditions.
