On the afternoon of June 26, in Shanghai, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Nghiem Giai Hoa, Chairman of the Group and senior officials of the Pacific Group. The Pacific Group is an enterprise investing, constructing, operating and managing infrastructure, ranked among the top 500 largest corporations in the world, and has participated in more than 1,000 projects in China.
Pacific Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hanoi People's Committee on investment and infrastructure construction in 5 years with a scale of billions of USD; currently participating in infrastructure projects in Vietnam such as the construction of Tu Lien Bridge, Hanoi. This project was started after the previous meeting with the Prime Minister in China.
He reported on the group's investment and operations in Vietnam and presented proposals to participate in other key projects, especially expressway projects, with a commitment to turn these expressways into models with completion time reduced by half compared to the expected time.
Welcoming Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa's proposals, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the effective and sustainable business investment activities of the Pacific Construction Group globally in general and in Vietnam in particular.
The Prime Minister asked the group to continue to do well and promptly complete the projects it has implemented; at the same time, research and discuss with Hanoi city and relevant agencies about the possibility of participating in the implementation of large infrastructure projects, seaport projects, airports, railways, urban railways in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, etc.
The head of the Government hopes that the group will invest in infrastructure, focus on human resource training, build bases, do long-term business in Vietnam, compete fairly with other businesses, and ensure the implementation of projects quickly, with high quality, safety, and efficiency.

On the same afternoon, the Prime Minister also received Mr. Shen Bo, General Director of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). The Government leader also highly appreciated COMAC's achievements in research and development of modern commercial aircraft, especially the C919, contributing to diversifying the market and promoting regional aviation technology.
Mr. Shen Bo said that COMAC is developing commercial aircraft such as C919, ARJ21 and the C929 wide-body aircraft project with a total expected investment of 20 billion USD. He also suggested that Vietnam continue to facilitate the exploitation of COMAC aircraft and support cooperation between Vietjet and COMAC...
Welcoming COMAC for establishing initial cooperation with Vietnamese airlines, the Prime Minister suggested that COMAC expand long-term and sustainable cooperation, including providing aircraft maintenance and repair services, promoting aircraft purchase and lease contracts, cooperating in human resource training, and manufacturing aviation spare parts and equipment.
