Strengthening capacity to protect, care for and educate children in the community

(CT) - Can Tho City Social Work Center has just coordinated with Thanh Quoi Secondary School and Thanh An 1 Secondary School to organize a communication session with the theme "Enhancing capacity to protect, care for and educate children in the community".

At the communication session, teachers, parents and local officials were updated on the Law on Children and legal documents on child protection, care and education ; skills to prevent and combat child abuse and injuries; how to approach, grasp and process information about abused children and special circumstances needing assistance. In addition to providing guidance on the intervention process when detecting child labor or child abuse in the locality, the Center introduced support services when needed: National Child Protection Hotline 111, Consulting Hotline 18008065 at the City Social Work Center and community social work service providers...

From now until mid-September 2025, the City Social Work Center will continue to coordinate communication activities at secondary schools (with the Youth Club model). Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of families, schools and communities in managing, educating and caring for children. At the same time, connecting services, supporting and protecting children, vulnerable groups, and social protection in need of early intervention in the community.
