Sun Group establishes new airline Sun PhuQuoc Airways

According to Decision No. 979/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , the investor implementing the project is Sun Phu Quoc Airways Company Limited - a company under Sun Group. The project name is "Sun PhuQuoc Airways - SPA".

According to the approved policy, SPA will have a total fleet size of 31 aircraft by 2030. The total investment capital is 2,500 billion VND (equivalent to about 98.81 million USD).

The project's goal is to establish a new airline with the main business model of transporting passengers by commercial air, combined with the charter model (chartering the entire flight) to serve tourists traveling to tourist and business centers in Vietnam and the world .

According to Sun Group, the Prime Minister's official approval of the investment policy for Sun PhuQuoc Airways is an important milestone for the Vietnamese aviation industry and the development of Phu Quoc tourism.

It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, SPA will officially operate the first flights, connecting Phu Quoc with key economic and tourist centers at home and abroad.

Along with Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Sun Group is still operating the high-end general airline Sun Air, providing personalized and specialized private jet services for luxury customers.

In addition, Sun Group of tycoon Le Viet Lam is investing heavily in aviation and airport infrastructure.
