Tottenham's play was not really sharp, leading to the fact that although they had 67% of the ball in the first half, they only had 5 shots, only 1 of which was on target. Arsenal only had 33% of the ball but had 6 shots, 50% of which were on goal by goalkeeper Vicario. However, neither side could create a turning point.
After a goalless first half, Tottenham stepped up their attack tempo in the second half. However, the home team could not maintain the pressure for too long, Arsenal gradually responded, causing Tottenham's attack to gradually decrease.
