From early morning on the day off, the campus of Battalion 5, Regiment 88, Division 302 (Military Region 7) - the atmosphere was bustling with the laughter of young soldiers. In neat uniforms, each group of soldiers enthusiastically participated in many recreational activities, such as: Tug of war, sack jumping, volleyball, folk games, dances in the collective activities of soldiers... Interspersed were performances by the officers and soldiers themselves with heroic folk songs and revolutionary songs. The sound of applause and cheers echoed throughout the unit.

Soldier Nguyen Doan Hoang, Company 7, Battalion 5, Regiment 88 shared: “We really like the fun activities. The activities not only help us relax after hard training sessions, but also help us bond more with our comrades and teammates.”

In addition to physical games, the Division also focuses on organizing educational and ideological orientation programs, such as political activities such as "Youth Forum", "Military Experience Sharing Seminar" or reading books, newspapers, watching traditional movies...

At the Ho Chi Minh Room of Battalion 5, the soldiers were introduced to the arduous but glorious struggle of our Army. The lessons of loyalty, the spirit of sacrifice, and the close bond between the Army and the people aroused pride and gave the soldiers more motivation to overcome difficulties and be determined to complete their tasks well.

With strict discipline and high training intensity, it is easy to develop psychological and ideological stress, fear of difficulties, fear of difficulties... Through these activities, we also promptly grasp the psychology and strengths of the soldiers; from there, we have appropriate management and educational content and measures and constantly innovate to improve the quality of weekend activities, promptly improving the lives, awareness, thoughts and actions of all officers and soldiers.”

Weekend activities in the Division are an important occasion for soldiers to relieve stress, strengthen their bonds with their comrades and cultivate their political qualities. To improve the effectiveness of weekend activities, the Party Committee and commanders of the units have implemented many practical measures such as: diversifying the content of activities, organizing collective games by theme, combining traditional education with creative entertainment. The Division focuses on promoting the role of organizations, Youth Union cadres, and talented soldiers in organizing activities. Collecting feedback from soldiers after each activity is also carried out seriously to make timely adjustments and avoid formalities.

Facilities serving daily activities such as playgrounds, Ho Chi Minh rooms, and environmental landscapes have been invested in and renovated; exchange activities with local youth, veterans, and mass organizations have also been promoted, creating a strong military-civilian bond. From these innovations, the weekend at the Division has contributed to improving the quality of training and building a strong and comprehensive unit. From 2020 to present, the Division has been awarded the Emulation Flag for many consecutive years by the Government, the Ministry of National Defense, and Military Region 7.

In the coming time, the Division will pay attention to the spiritual life of soldiers, creating a healthy cultural environment, which is the factor that fosters the soldiers' ideology, thereby helping them to excellently complete all assigned tasks, building a strong and comprehensive unit.
