80 years ago, right after the success of the August Revolution, on September 7, 1945, the General Staff - the strategic staff agency of the Army was established. To complete the assigned tasks, on September 9, 1945, comrade Hoang Van Thai, the first Chief of the General Staff of our Army, assigned the task of establishing the General Staff Management Board with the task of managing all assets and military personnel of the agency. September 9, 1945, became the date of birth of the Agency Management Board, the predecessor of the Administrative Management Department, and also the traditional day of the Administrative Management Department - the Ministry of National Defense Agency, now the Logistics Department, General Staff.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended and congratulated the results and achievements that the Logistics Department and the General Staff have achieved over the past 80 years. In order to successfully complete the assigned tasks, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Logistics Department to focus on thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the annual military and defense work orders, especially Resolution No. 1658 of the Central Military Commission on "Military logistics work to 2030 and the following years"; concretizing them with leadership and direction policies and measures that are close to the assigned functions and tasks, suitable to the practical situation of the General Staff. Advise on effective implementation of basic construction work; strictly manage and ensure barracks and defense land; invest in the construction of works, barracks, public houses, and social housing to contribute to solving the housing needs of cadres.
