Rafaelson shines to help Nam Dinh Club win big against SL Nghe An

Right after the opening whistle, Nam Dinh FC continuously pressed the field and created dangerous opportunities. However, in the 35th minute, the home team finally enjoyed the joy when Hendrio made a great pass for Lucas Silva to escape and score into SL Nghe An's net, opening the score 1-0.

After the goal, coach Vu Hong Viet's team played more enthusiastically. However, the lack of precision in finishing prevented Nam Dinh Club from scoring another goal in the first half.

The second half had only started for 3 minutes when Espinola handled the ball in the penalty area and SL Nghe An had to take a penalty. Rafaelson (Vietnamese name is Nguyen Xuan Son) finished accurately, doubling the gap to 2-0 for Nam Dinh Club.

SL Nghe An's defense continuously made mistakes and in the 61st minute, Lucas Silva crossed the ball accurately for Rafaelson to head the ball into SL Nghe An's net, completing his double and helping the home team lead 3-0.

8 minutes later, midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh had a favorable assist for To Van Vu to score the 4th goal for Nam Dinh. Coach Vu Hong Viet and his team played with great excitement when playing at home.

In the 74th minute, Long Vu crossed the ball accurately for Kuku to jump high and head the ball, shortening the score to 1-4 for SL Nghe An. Rafaelson had a few chances at the end of the match but he was unlucky in finishing and could not complete his hat-trick.

However, the resounding 4-1 victory over SL Nghe An helped Nam Dinh Club improve its position on the LPBank V-League 2024-25 rankings and confidently defend this year's championship.
