Quang Ninh: Over 68,000 loan customers affected by storm No. 3 have their interest rates reduced

Implementing the Prime Minister's decision, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3869/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2024 on reducing lending interest rates for customers borrowing capital from the provincial budget entrusted through the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch to continue supporting people affected by storm No. 3.

Accordingly, all customers borrowing capital from programs from local budget capital entrusted through the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, will receive support from the local budget to reduce lending interest rates by 2%/year, applied to loans with outstanding debt at the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch from September 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.

According to the above Decisions, Quang Ninh province will have 68,243 customers borrowing capital from the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch from the central and local capital sources affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) with reduced lending interest rates with the interest reduction amount of over 33,955 billion VND. This is an important solution to continue supporting people after storm No. 3 to restore production, develop the economy , and increase income.

Previously, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, proposed to reschedule debts for 361 customers with a total amount of VND 25.8 billion; extend debt repayment terms for 245 customers with a total amount of VND 10.5 billion; provide additional loans and new loans to 9,014 customers with a total amount of VND 725 billion to support people to restore production and business and stabilize their lives after storm No.
